the problem actually appears only when moving files between folders, within PL, nowadays.
I have a basic custom preset that includes optical corrections, DeepPRIME, and Smart Lighting. This is applied on import.
applying these corrections takes some time…but not so much on my iMac
- No Correction takes 28 seconds to render 60 images in Library View
- DxO Standard takes 36 seconds for the same job.
Rendering in Customize View will take longer, unless the rendered image is in the cache.
The good news is that DeepPRIME is now 4x faster on my M1 Mac mini with PL5 than it was with PL4. I’m now getting just 10s for each 42MP image with the preset I described above.

Wow that’s awesome Jacques !! Man I can imagine how big of a game changer that would be !! I bought my first ever lab top last year and really knew nothing about them … bought the last MacBook Air pre M1 chip… lol
Although for the longest time I thought I did have the among ship because of the date in which the first one came out LOL I mean I guess I could pretend and keep pretending that I have the M1 chip but I don’t think that will work anyway good for you dude
