Nik 5 & Mac ARM

Does Nik 5 now work correctly with Lightroom on Mac M1? I’m considering upgrading from 4 to 5 but won’t if the integration with Lightroom is still broken. Also is a Nik 6 in the works?

Nik apps with original guis can run natively on Apple Silicon Macs. The new ones can’t and will use Rosetta 2. Lightroom should be able to handle these without having to switch it to Rosetta - depending on how recent your Lr release is.

Yes, I’m aware. I wanted to know if DXO had fixed the problem whereby the new ones when returning a processed image caused problems with Lightroom rendering the returned image.

Yes, it’s been fixed. I previously had the Lightroom problem you mentioned (on an M1 Mac mini), but after installing the most recent version (5.2.1) in mid-October, Color Efex and the other new aps work fine. I can even send a batch of a dozen photos from Lightroom to the Nik apps with only a slight delay in processing them all.

Thanks, That’s what I wanted to know. I have the same setup.

Thanks for your help.
