Hello,
this is a mac-specific request. In the Library Tab on a Mac we have now the complete folder structure. This can get a bit unwildly and is not user friendly. In Photo Supreme (DAM software) I can select a folder and “Make this folder the top-level folder” The UI looks much cleaner and needs less searching for the correct folder.
I am out of votes - so I can not vote myself for this request.

Drag your desired top level folder to the finder sidebar and start from there in DPL. Collapse all other items to reduce the mess…

I have my files in the “Pictures” folder anyway so it is in the sidebar. And I have all the other folders collapsed also. What I propose is that the only folder left and shown in DPL would be in my case my “Pictures” folder.
I do not want to see even the collapsed folders
