JPEG vs JPEG XR vs JPEG 2000 vs TIFF

Could someone please explain me the quality difference between JPEG, JPEG XR and JPEG 2000, in practice.
So far, I have read that both JPEG XR and JPEG 2000 support 16 bit color depth.
JPEG XR seems to be the latest standard.
What is the quality difference between JPEG XR and JPEG 2000?
Is there any other major difference? What is the downside of using JPEG XR and JPEG 2000?

Lastly, both JPEG XR and JPEG 2000 don’t seem to have a huge file size. TIFF files at the other hand are huge.
What is the quality difference between those? They are all 16 bit. Can one see any difference, when it comes to professional print?

Thanks!

In practice, both JPEG XR and JPG 2000 seem to be ‘dead’ at this point in terms of market acceptance. So any quality differences are largely hypothetical…
