DxO NIK collection strategy

Dear Nik Collection user,

We perfectly understand the course of your thoughts, and we hereby bring answers to your concerns

• Nik Collection by DxO is one of our 2 key product lines DxO is now focused on with its reorganization
• Nik Collection 2018 by DxO is a first step (foundation) to broader improvements and evolutions that will come with the 2019 release
• When purchasing the Nik Collection 2018 by DxO, you become a true valued contributor for the Nik Collection 2019 by DxO. The DxO plan is to give back this contribution effort by the time we release the 2019 version. Hence, the 2019 version will come at a very nice upgrade price for the 2018 version customers (no need to pay for the full price if you already have the 2018 by DxO version)
• As a valued customer, and as dedicated user of the Nik Collection, we’ would like to get your opinion about what the 2019 version should put together. So, we’ve opened a “voice of the customer” survey in terms of wished features and suggested functionalities. This survey channel will be advertised throughout the users community within few days, but users already using our forum have started to populate it yet. You can check it out at the following address: https://forum.dxo.com/c/nik-by-dxo/feature-request

• As we’re currently collecting feedbacks and suggestions which will be merged with our own company strategy on that product line, we are not yet able to communicate deeper on what will be the next paid version until then. But the result of the suggestion poll will be made public by the end of 2018/beginning of 2019
• As for all DxO products, we’re planning paid releases on a yearly basis. Therefore, there is no risk that you’re proposed another paid version within roughly one year from now on.
• There might be free .release(s) in between, especially in case of “low hanging fruits” fixes
