Clone tool doesn't work on a photo edge [bug]

Hi there,
I’ve noticed it a few times already on different photos. The clone tool doesn’t work when you want to clone out something from an edge of a photo. See the example below:

Hi Pawel

Use a tiny line very close to the edge and complete with a normal draw.

Yes - If you take your “source” from a location parallel to the target then you’ll achieve a better result.
I agree, tho, this does need some attention for improvement.

Agree, the tool does need some work. However, with experience I’ve learned how to place my masks on the edge of an image to avoid the problem,almost 100% of the time.

Thanks guys, I’ve managed to sort it out by following Pascal’s advice. The tool on the edges is very counter-intuitive.

Edges can be difficult but as you’ve found out there are ways around the tools limitations.
