At the moment you can set in Preferences>Correction Settings a profile to be automatically applied to new RAW images. As I use ORF and DNG, does anyone know of a way I can get PL to apply particular presets depending on the type of RAW on new import? Or perhaps this is a wishlist item?
It’s a wishlist item - one that I think is worth revisiting, as older discussions took place when we had a very small number of votes to spend on such requests. For example:
Cameras use different colour profiles & require different edit settings, also not all RAW photos require lens correction (eg. Panasonic micro four thirds). So different cameras require different initial editing settings.
Please allow raw edit settings to be automatically applied to specific camera models when a raw image is first opened. Lightroom has this facility by setting the default process for a given camera model.
This would remove the laborious process of having to manually apply a pre…
I would like to be able to have dynamic presets to apply to a big collection. For example if I want to aplly ‘Perspective’ with DXO VIEWPOINT, it would be helpfull if I could specify to aplly it only if the focal length was < 24mm (full frame eq.). This is the one that would help me the most.
In general this could also be an option for other parameters to make applying a setting with a preset conditional to 1 or more of the parameters in the metadata.
