Uninstall Older Veriosn Post Upgrade?

After a successful upgrade to PL4, should I uninstall my older version? My PC now has both versions installed and operational.

You are at liberty to do either. The only thing I would be careful about is that the newer version adds stuff to the dop files that doesn’t exist in the earlier version.

The database for each version is independent, so that shouldn’t cause a problem.

However, I would ask why you would want to keep the older version and recommend you remove it if you don’t have a compelling reason.

For moving to 4.0.1 and 4.0.2 i had to remove the older version from Win10.
Otherwise i got an error saying some folder can not be accessed due to rights issues.
This could not be solved by ruunning the installer as admin.

As @Joanna said above, it’s really up to you to decide whether you keep them both or remove PL3.

@Silberkorn, it sounds like your computer’s security settings are too strong or were improperly changed by something other than PhotoLab. Do you remember which folder(s) couldn’t be accessed? What security software do you have running on your computer? And is Windows fully up-to-date?
