Repair function very slow when Local Adjustments present

When using the Repair function the UI response is pretty quick but as soon as you have Local Adjustments every change to a Repair point cause PL to generate a Full Preview which slows down the process significantly for large RAW files (Canon EOS R5).

Even if you turn Off the Local Adjustments a Full Preview is generated.

As a workaround I do all my Repairs first then Local Adjustments.

THE QUESTION I HAVE: Is this intended or can it be improved by NOT generating a Full Preview each time a Repair is modified or added?
