It’s funny how these things affect some people and not others, and some of the issues you mention were not new in Monterey. Sometimes it comes down to external hardware interactions. Monterey has been better than Big Sur for me, on a 2017 Intel iMac 5K, M1 Mac Mini and M1 Macbook Air.
