Brand new to Photolab but really enjoying what I have learned so far. There is still so much to learn. I was hoping to get some quick help though. I have a wonderful photo of a baby owl that I’d like to refine. I’ve made some basic edits using PhotoLab 2 but I can’t figure out how to edit the background. It has some distracting background images behind the main subject that I’d like to eliminate by simply creating a solid colour background. Is there any way to do this? Any help or advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Hello Dale,
As you are a newbie I’d recommend you to visit Tutorials section and this one in particular - Tutorial DxO PhotoLab by the user
And I hope our profi Forum guys will give you some advice as well.

Welcome to the forum.
In local adjustment you can use masking around your subject, the owl, and use “blur”-slider to create artificial bokeh.
And use second mask to enhance sharpnes of the feathers using local clearview and vibrance.
Also, in NIK Color Efex there is a filter titled “Vignette Bokeh”. That might be helpful in this situation.
Awesome. Thanks folks.
