New Hardware Configuration

Hi there,

I’m looking for the best setup for a new Desktop PC.

Currently I edit my photo with Dxo Photolab 4 on a Surface Pro 7 but the editing is started to require too much time.

So I decided to build a new PC but I looking for the best configuration:

  • ASUS ROG Strix X570-F Gaming

  • Processore AMD Ryzen™ 9 3900XT (12C/24T, 70 MB di cache)

  • Corsair Vengeance 32 GB (2 X 16 GB), DDR4, 3200 MHz, C16 XMP 2.0, 1.35

  • MSI GeForce RTX 2060 GAMING Z 6G Scheda grafica, 6 GB GDDR6, PCI Express x16 3.0, DisplayPort x 3 (v1.4) / HDMI 2.0b x 1

  • WD BLACK SN750 NVMe SSD Interno per Gaming

My big concern is the graphic card.
I would like to but a graphic card that fit the DxO PL4 requirement.

Thanks in advance for the help!.

Best regards,
Federico

Great choices, IMO! I just rebuilt my computer with the same NVMe SSD, identically-spec’d RAM, and a Ryzen 7 3700X CPU. I really like the results, even though I kept my GeForce GTX 1060 3 GB video card. DeepPRIME rendering with that video card is already quite fast. I expect an RTX 2060 to make DeepPRIME render even more quickly - but the Google spreadsheet doesn’t make it clear for me how much more quickly.

In my office, I have a nearly identical PC with an RTX 2070 Super Mini in it. I might have to give that card a try sometime - but to be honest, I’m not that tempted to try it with PhotoLab right now. Typically, I render images one at a time, working on the next one while the previous one renders.
