My workflow is to use FastRawViewer to cull any shots in which I’ve blown focus or highlights.
I’d like to be able to do the same in PL, but to cull shots for other reasons (e.g. composition, someone blinked, etc.). Extra credit if I can customize the key combination and folder.
Yes, I can do similar with select/reject, but that’s more cumbrous.

I suspect your meaning got lost in translation. No criticism intended, but could you restate that?
Use: 7, 8, or 9
To Pick, Reject, Untag.
Or Ctrl-7, Ctrl-8, Ctrl-9
Or Shift-p, Shift-x, Shift-u
Those are the traffic lights: Green, Red or non-lit.
