Hallo zusammen,
mir ist es schon fast zu blöd zu fragen, aber kann es sein, dass es wirklich keinerlei Möglichkeiten gibt, geänderte Geo-Daten in PL5 Pro neu einzulesen?! Die Geo-Daten sind direkt in CR2-Dateien gespeichert.

How do the coordinates change in those CR2 files?
Apart from the above: Have you tried to manually re-read metadata with the corresponding menu item? Does that update the coordinates?
Metadata sync does work with JPEG files and via XMP sidecars for RAW files.
(Tested with DPL 6.0.3 on macOS Monterey on iMac 2019)
