Important note to PL users who shoot with Sony FE Zeiss 16-35 F4 ZA OSS
The original version of the Optics Module for this lens did not correctly/adequately apply distortion correction - - This has been corrected with the new version … and the updated OM was “pushed out” with the installation of PL 4.2 … That is, it automatically replaced any original Optics Module for this lens.
The reason I am posting this information is that no notice was provided (by DxO) about this fix - therefore, users may not be aware that they need to re-export images captured with this lens, so that optimal distortion corrections can be applied.
I wonder how often this happens; whereby we are unaware that improvements/corrections are made ?!
