File creation : naming the output file

The dialog box for naming new files could also include a prefix option, similar to the suffix option.

The name could also include variable strings derived from Digital asset Library tags or from image attributes.

  • For example the width and height of a resized image in pixels could appear in the filename, e.g “1920x1080”.
  • Dates, such as original camera date, or date modified, as suggested in comments below.
  • Demosaicking-denoising “HQ”, “PRIME”, “DeepPRIME”
  • Optically-corrected or not
  • …

The original name could be present or not.

I’d also add a date prefix/suffix to the image name. It is always handy
