File can not be renamed if Image Browser is hidden and a suggestion to solve the problem

I often hide the Image Browser to provide a little more working space. If an image is selected, the Image Browser hidden (Ctrl+F9) and Rename image selected (F2), the input field to change the name is hidden.

Perhaps placing the input field in a popup would solve the problem.
