For a stream from dxo to Apple photo, it would be desirable to have the possibility of exporting the files in HEIC. The HEIC format is a very efficient format with an extended color gamut, 16-bit colors and very efficient compression. Is it possible to have this type of export? Currently, I export in 16 bits TIF then with Preview, I export in HEIC. It’s a little complicated.
Unfortunately, HEIC/HEIF is tied up in all sorts of patent and licensing. I believe there is a cost involved in generating such images, which is why, not just DxO, may be reticent in implementing this.
