On page 32 in the manual there are details about the different compare modes and there are specific details for PC but they do not match what is available at all!

There are actually lots of inconsistencies in the manual. Some of it is due to imperfect English language translations. Some are due to differences between the Mac and Windows versions. Some are due to slight changes in functionality over time that were not reflected in the manual.
