DxO Software - New Cameras & Lenses support (16 April 2024 update)

Especially since the lens is delivering EXIF, but the camera might also redirect some entries (depending on manufacturer combination of body + lens. I saw that in two apps (Excire and PhotoStatistica).

That one is sorted after lens manufacturer

And that one is sorted after lens model. Sigma hides their company name in a different field.

It must be an ongoing nightmare to get around in all these different proprietary naming systems. Lens and camera companies also alter their naming systems, I assume.

Here’s what Excire sees
And here are some extractions of EXIFtool (in GraphicConverter)

Objektiv-ID (=lens-ID?) appears to be sort of common sense?

And Nikon also uses “lens maker”, other companies less so.

Imagine how easy life were, if there were an EAN code or MAC address etc. for each lens and camera model…

Btw, If you check raw files with a hex editor, you’ll see all kinds of repetitions of information that can include a full lens description and parts thereof.

I just used Graphic Converter to insert metadata into pictures made with a Laowa lens. As interesting as their products are, but no EXIF is a pita. How could I know the differences?

“lens”, “lens model” and for what is “lens info”? My impression is, every manufacturer has it’s own recipe.

Thank you. Any plans to also add the Canon EF 800 f/5.6? Thanks, Scott

still not the Sigma 150-600 DG DN OS Sport in Sony FE mount :sob:

Hello,

@Raisin54, the Sigma 150-600 DG DN OS Sport in Sony FE mount is in our planning, I don’t have a date of support yet. Here I’ve just provided what is on our short roadmap.

@ScottVincent, I’ll add the Canon EF 800mm F5.6 to the roadmap.

Marie,
does DXO already have a plan for the Viltrox lenses on the Nikon Z mount?
Unfortunately, Viltrox is one of the few companies that can supply lenses for the Nikon Z mount!!!

@Marie

VERY happy for supporting this combination

which also recognizes my AF-S TC-14EII + AF-S Nikkor 70-200mm F4G ED VR

How soon is soon?

@rwerp I can’t say yet, sorry.

@jpwieseth , I’ll add Viltrox lenses to my roadmap but it’s not at short term as we have a lot of other lenses to catch up with first.

Marie

Hi Marie,

thanks for this new update and so glad to hear the profile for OM System OM-1 is on its way.

Would you also anticipate to release the long waited profiles for M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 150-400mm f4,5 TC1,25 IS Pro with either TC1.4x or TC2.0x ?

always pleased to hear and
keep safe
Vic

Still no Panasonic Leica f1.7 25-50mm m43 mount lens module :sleepy:

Okay, I’m loving my PhotoLab to bits and have been doing so ever since I picked it up in 2015. And the work DxO is doing on these optics modules is impressive. And I’m well aware that, as something of a niche player, Pentax/Ricoh cannot and will not take centre stage in your calibration efforts. But here’s the thing: Why must “not taking centre stage” play out like “rare as a total solar eclipse”? And it’s not even like Pentax/Ricoh was churning out new lens designs by the dozens each year, but even at their super-leisurely pace of releases, some of their absolute bread-and-butter lenses remain oddly unsupported. Just to give you a rough indication of the current support gaps:

  • HD PENTAX-DA FISH-EYE 10-17mm 1:3.5-4.5 ED

  • HD Pentax-DA* 16-50mm F2.8ED PLM AW

  • HD PENTAX-FA 1:2 35mm

  • HD PENTAX-FA 1:1.8 31mm AL Limited

  • HD PENTAX-FA 1:1.9 43mm Limited

  • HD PENTAX-FA 1:1.8 77mm Limited

  • HD PENTAX-D FA 1:2.4 21mm ED Limited DC WR

Don’t get me wrong: All my current Pentax lenses are supported, but I will say that I’ve shied away from buying certain lenses that would have been in my reach because there is such little hope of them ever being supported. I mean, really? :pensive:

Hello,

I look forward to 2 modules for PhotoLab. I read in a previous post that the module for the Nikon Z 24-120 was planned for June or July, but I didn’t see anything concerning the Nikon Z 100-400. Is it planned, please? Thank you for your reply.

hello, thank you for adding the Vitrox 85 AF II lens profile for Sony FE.
cordially

Any plan to offer an optics module for the Leica Summilux-TL 35mm f/1.4? This is the only TL lens to remain unsupported. Thank you!

Please do Add Samyang 12mm AF 2.0 for FUJIFILM

Hello Marie,

And Sigma 30mm F1.4 DC DN | C (Fuji X) ?
