DXO Photolab 6 crash at startup - DxO.PhotoLab.Preview.dll missing

Hi all.
I’ve installed several times DXO Photolab 6.
It’s crashing at startup, after the splash screen.

The log reports:
DxO.PhotoLab - 10784 - 1 | ServiceLocator - Info | Profiling DxO.PhotoLab.App.RegisterAssemblies : 127 ms with exception: Could not load file or assembly ‘file:///C:\Program Files\DxO\DxO PhotoLab 6\DxO.PhotoLab.Preview.dll’ or one of its dependencies.

I noticed that during installation it appears, but after finishing the installation process, it is deleted by the installer itself…

In photolab 5 this file is NOT canceled/missing, dxo pl5 is starting flawlessly
Win 10 Pro 21H2

Any suggestion?

Check your antivirus/security software.

Comodo quarantined the dll as considered Trojan… very strange!

Happens sometimes - and I suppose new software releases are especially susceptible. Glad that solved it! :slight_smile:
