Difference between "Dead pixel" correction and Canon Factory Service

What is the effective difference in the end picture between using DxO PhotoLab’s Dead pixel correction and taking the camera into Canon for Factory Service?
Thanks!

If it is truly a “dead” pixel and not a “stuck” pixel, then Canon Service is a permanent solution that fixes your camera’s sensor. DXO or any other photo editor can replace that pixel with adjacent pixel information to make it appear correct and unnoticeable. If it is a stuck pixel you have other options to correct the sensor issue yourself.
