When I try to automatically correct verticals in DPL 5.1.3 on macOS 12.4, the Perspective tool cannot do that, which is normal, because the image I used has no clear vertical lines - so far so good.
The tool shows a yellow warning sign with a text that is cut off, at least when running in German:
