Customize mode with hidden filmstrip: forward/backward buttons would still be helpful

In Customize mode, if the film strip is displayed, there are buttons to flip to the next picture, or the previous one. Why are they on the filmstrip or more precisely: why do the buttons disappear when the filmstrip is hidden? These buttons should be somewhere else, where they are always visible, e.g. in the top tool bar. Users will want to move to the next picture even though they may decide to hide the filmstrip. I know that there is a keyboard shortcut to go to the next (or previous) picture but that’s not the same…

…moreover, these shortcuts are not absolute. When you’re in a number field, they don’t change the image. Lightroom (Mac) does it with cmd-arrow (left/right), which always selects a new image.

thanks platypus, true - when you’re in a number field you may accidentally change the setting (increase or decrease the number). it happened to me before, so it is best to not even get used to the keyboard shortcut…
