I have now built my new PC and will installing PL on the new system 
But as per subject, is it as simply as copying the database from the old system and pasting it as appropriate into the location on the new PC?

You can also back up the database to an external drive and restore that backup on the new PC.
It’s a detour for sure, but it provides (additional) backup.
If you’ve used custom workspace settings and presets, make sure to copy those too…

I had yet to make an presets IIRC nor used a custom workspace…so the database was the primary thing.
