Quite often I find myself in a situation where exporting an image to smaller size (e.g. 50% of linear dimension) with “bilinear” option results in a JPEG which is too soft, but “bilinear sharper” results in a JPEG which is oversharpened. It would be very useful to be able to control the parameters of sharpening applied during export.
I would go further than that and have a much improved export and print facility which could incorporate Nik’s Output Sharpener. Most of the code already exists why not use it in PL?
