Second to feature requiest about EXR and 16/32bit float support is support for ACES color management.
Same situation. Photography and VFX/3DCG industry are not independent. And VFX/3DCG are really interesting in a good RAW processing tool that can natively support new ACES color space, with it wide gammut. And 8/16/16half/32float support for ACES.
This is not a rocket science and it have free and open source. So any one can add ACES and OpenEXR to their app and make all communities happier.
